The BRESSER Advance ICD 10x-160x is a trinocular stereo microscope with a Greenough optical system, 1x–4x stereo zoom and magnification from 10x to 160x depending on the eyepieces and additional lens used. The three-dimensional image is particularly useful for practical work such as soldering, dissection and sample preparation.

Product description

The Greenough optical system with two inclined objectives produces a three-dimensional image of the specimen. This is particularly useful when working under the microscope, for example during soldering, dissection or sample preparation.

The precise zoom allows continuous adjustment of magnification from 1x to 4x. Only minor refocusing is required when changing magnification. The microscope is equipped with a precise coaxial coarse and fine focusing system. Fine focusing is especially useful at high magnification and during photography. Fine focusing also simplifies work when focus stacking with BRESSER MikroCam cameras.

The interpupillary distance can be adjusted from 52–72 mm. Both eyepiece holders have diopter adjustment, allowing differences in vision between the left and right eye of up to 8 dpt. to be compensated. The 10x wide-field eyepieces have a field number of FN 22 and soft rubber eyecups.

The microscope head can be moved along the long stand column, allowing large objects up to 22 cm in height to be observed.

The angle of the bright LED reflected-light illumination can be adjusted as required. The particularly bright and even transmitted illumination provides a uniform background when observing transparent specimens. A switch allows reflected light, transmitted light or a combination of both to be selected. Brightness can be adjusted with a dimmer. The LED illumination does not heat up, allowing living objects to be observed for longer periods. The long-life LED is powered by a 5V AC adapter with a USB connector; EU/UK adapters are included.

A 2x additional lens is included. Other additional lenses are also available, allowing magnification, working distance and depth of field to be changed according to requirements.

Main magnification configurations:

• 10x eyepieces: 10x–40x;
• 10x eyepieces + 2x additional lens: 20x–80x;
• 20x eyepieces: 20x–80x;
• 20x eyepieces + 2x additional lens: 80x–160x.

Other magnifications are possible when using other additional lenses and/or eyepieces.

The third tube is designed for permanent camera connection. The image from the left eyepiece can be directed to the camera port using a switch. Various adapters are available for DSLR, mirrorless and C-mount microscope cameras.
