It provides a highly solid platform for most medium-sized telescopes and is excellent for exploring the night sky. The polar elevation at your specific observing site can be set using the integrated fine scale and adjusted perfectly via two fine-tuning screws. A polar finder scope can also be retrofitted if needed. Fully equipped with motors in both axes and a SynScan hand control box, this complete GoTo mount configuration makes the NEQ-3 ideal not only for visual observing but also for getting started in astrophotography.
