The Sky-Watcher MC 127/1500 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is a remarkably compact yet capable optical design. Despite a tube length of only 33cm, it features a long focal length of 1540mm (1500mm listed in specifications), yielding crisp, high-contrast views of planets and deep-sky objects. Light gathering capacity reaches 329x compared to a dark-adapted human eye (7mm), with a resolving power of 0.91 arc-seconds.

Beyond astronomical observations, this telescope serves as an effective, affordable spotting scope for terrestrial wildlife and nature watching. An integrated T-2 thread makes it simple to attach an SLR camera for lunar pictures or cost-effective telephoto bird photography.
