Product description

Pointing a standard telescope at the Sun in one go can be difficult and hazardous. The Sky-Watcher SolarQuest makes solar observation completely effortless with its revolutionary Heliofind azimuthal mount. Simply press the power button, and the Heliofind mount begins rotating clockwise to scan the sky and locate the Sun automatically. If the tripod is accidentally moved, users can restart the sequence, and Heliofind will quickly acquire the Sun again.

This refractor telescope features a 70 mm aperture and a 500 mm focal length (f/7.0), making it an ideal instrument for observing sunspots, eclipses, and transits of Mercury and Venus. The mount is powered by 8 AA batteries.

WARNING: The Heliofind mount is designed to work ONLY with the attached solar telescope. Do not point other types of optical devices at the Sun. Looking directly at the Sun without a certified solar filter will cause immediate and irreversible damage to your eyes or instrument.
