Product Description
Sharper images and greater detail
Image quality can suffer in challenging environmental conditions. The premium 1280×1024 thermal sensor with NETD below 15 mK in the LEAP L12R maintains sharp, detailed images. Combined with an F1.0/60 mm objective lens and a 60 Hz refresh rate, it captures scenes with high sensitivity and precision.
A classic circular display experience
Unlike rectangular screens, the 1.03-inch circular AMOLED display with 2560×2560 resolution provides a familiar eyepiece-style image for traditional riflescope users. Combined with continuous optical zoom, it maintains image quality and provides a precise and comfortable aiming experience.
Clear visibility in different conditions
Real-time image optimisation reduces blurring and loss of sharpness caused by moisture. This helps maintain clear, detailed images in rain, fog and high-humidity conditions.
Robust and light-efficient lens design
Unlike designs with irregular LRF cut-outs, the linear bar-style design retains the classic appearance of a riflescope while maintaining a smaller cross-section. It increases light intake for improved brightness and enhances impact resistance to help reduce the risk of lens damage.
More accurate distance measurement through improved alignment
Unlike external rangefinders that require separate installation and calibration, the LEAP LRF is integrated into the lens assembly close to the optical axis. This positioning allows direct and accurate distance measurements without additional adjustments.
Long-range distance measurement with ballistic support
Long-range shooting requires accurate corrections. The built-in laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1312 yards (approximately 1200 m) and works together with ballistic calculations to determine the correct aiming point. PIP mode displays corrected aiming points for faster target acquisition. The measurement window can be positioned closer to the target, reducing eye movement and providing a clearer view.
Tactile buttons and switches
Operating equipment in darkness or while wearing gloves can result in accidental inputs. The three-button and two-switch design provides tactile and reliable control.
Dedicated rotary control functions
Complex menus can slow down operation. Each rotary control is assigned a specific on-screen function, reducing the need to navigate menus and allowing fast, intuitive operation, even for beginners.
Easy lever adjustment
The eyepiece adjustment lever and the optional objective-lens adjustment lever make magnification adjustments easier and provide smooth, precise operation.
Metal lens cover
Lenses are vulnerable to impacts. The aluminium lens cover protects both the lens and the LRF while remaining lightweight and durable. The lens cap closes almost silently for discreet operation.
Dual-battery system for up to 6.5 hours of operation
The LEAP L12R features a built-in 4000 mAh battery and supports a replaceable external 18650 battery. This dual-battery system provides up to 6.5 hours of operation.
Extended thermal detection range
With a stated detection range of up to 3390 yards (approximately 3100 m), the LEAP L12R can detect heat sources at considerable distances, providing improved situational awareness.
Additional Features
Return to Center (RTC) function
After zeroing, the RTC function automatically returns the reticle to the centre position along the Y-axis. This provides a more comfortable viewing experience and makes aiming easier.
Wi-Fi integration with the RIX+ app
The built-in Wi-Fi module allows the device to connect to Android and iOS smartphones and other compatible devices through the RIX+ app. It supports live image transmission and wireless software updates.
1000 g shock resistance
The LEAP is designed to withstand shock loads of up to 1000 g. It is suitable for use with heavy calibres such as .375 H&H, 12-gauge and 9.3×64.
Photo and video recording
The LEAP supports both photography and video recording. Press and hold the button to take a photo. A short press starts or stops video recording.
