The Discovery Micro Marine microscope is a convenient instrument that will be perfect for the first acquaintance with the microcosm, as it is simple in structure and allows you to observe many tiny structures. For example, it can be used to study the cellular structure of plant and animal tissues and to observe life in a drop of water. You can also observe prepared slides with this microscope.
Optical system
The microscope magnification range is from 40x to 640x, which is not strong enough to see bacteria, but it is sufficient for viewing many transparent samples. The microscope revolving nosepiece is designed for three objectives (4x, 10x, and 40x). The sliding eyepiece can be fixed in two positions: 10x or 16x. The eyepiece is non-removable, so you will never lose it. The 45° head inclination angle allows for observation with maximum comfort. The coarse focus knobs are used to adjust the sharpness. Adjustment of the optical scheme is simple and does not require additional explanations.
Adjusting LED illumination system
The stage is equipped with metal clips that are used to hold the specimen under the objective. There is a diaphragm disk under the stage. It helps to regulate the luminous flux as well as the backlight that includes a small LED with the adjustable brightness. Since the backlight is powered by batteries (not included), it is convenient to use the microscope even outdoors. It is recommended to use the backlight when the ambient light is insufficient for comfortable observation.
Book of microworld knowledge
The "Invisible World" knowledge book (included) will help you quickly join the study of the microworld. It tells about the microscope”s structure, the peculiarities of working with it, and about the tiny inhabitants of the microcosm. The book is written in clear language. It also contains color pictures and descriptions of simple experiments that can be performed at home under adult supervision. Important information is clearly highlighted.
