Telescope apochromatic refractor AP 70/474 OTA, TS Optics

This apochromatic refractor is one of the most popular on the market, with a diameter of 71mm and a focal length of 447mm, it achieves a focal ratio of F / 6.3.

The optical scheme of this instrument consists of a Petzval with 4 optical elements in FPL53 and has a 2.5 "focuser equipped with a rack and pinion system with 1:10 micrometric reduction and integrated 360 ° rotator.

The focuser can hold very heavy loads, up to a maximum of 4kg, once locked with the supplied screw, there is no worry that it will slip.

The corrected and illuminated field is very large, equal to a diagonal of 44mm in length, up to the FULL FRAME!

Cooled CMOS cameras are strongly recommended with this instrument, as they are very performing on medium-short focal lengths (ASI1600, ASI071, ASI094, ASI294, ASI183)

The 71SDQ remains an excellent alternative to instruments such as the Takahashi FS60 or the classic Pentax 75 SDHF; the excellent chromatic correction makes it possible to use it also in visual for a magnification from 10x to 200x.
