ATERA II ED H16x50WP has two types of vibration-canceling modes that can be switched according to the usage scene. V1 mode: Absorbs small motion of vibration. Every surface of the lenses has anti-reflective multi-layer coatings (flat multi-coatings) that are stacked with more than seven layers, which features Vixen's highest level of anti-reflection. Reduced light loss compared with ordinary 3-layer-multi-coatings leads to images with exceptional contrast and brightness. Prisms with phase coated reduce halation and dramatically increase resolution. Every optical surface of the subsidiary prisms has super high reflectivity (SHR) coatings using dielectric multi-layers. These three types of optical coating eliminate stray light and light loss at a level exceptionally high, resulting in sharp and detailed vision with high contrast that only a top-of-the-line model can provide. The adhesion of dirt to the lens (especially on the eyepiece) reduces the binoculars' high optical performance by diminishing contrast and resolution. The ATERA II ED H16×50WP, therefore, is provided with a special coating that prevents dirt from attaching to the surfaces of the objective lens and eyepiece so that you can use it for the best performance every time you view through the binocular. It can be used continuously for up to 16 hours with just two AAA alkaline batteries, which are readily available. With its auto power-off function, it takes care of itself by shutting down after 90 minutes* of use.
