SkyWatcher 203/1200 DOB 8" Pyrex telescope FLEX
SkyWatcher Skyliner-200P (203/1200) Classic Dobsonian with pyrex parabolic mirror (with 10mm, 25mm Plössl eyepieces, 9x50 finderscope)
This Skyliner Dobsonian telescope is extremely easy to use, great price/performer. The 200mm model shows many interesting celestial objects down to 14 magnitude. From under dark skies details can be seen in distant galaxies and also details are evident in nebulae. Excellent for planetary and lunar observations, the scope can show many surface details but can be used to observe double stars as well. The optics are diffraction limited.
Premium Construction
Pyrex Glass Mirror: Made from a boron-silicon composition (8% boron oxide, 85% silicon oxide), the mirror is lightweight and has a reduced thermal expansion coefficient for superior image quality. Focal Length: 1200 mm with a light f/6 ratio. Crayford Focuser: A perfect 2-inch focuser that can be reduced to 1.25 inches. Accessories Included: Comes with a large 9x50 finder, two eyepieces (K-25mm and 10mm), and a user-friendly Dobsonian azimuth mount. Photography Ready: T-2 thread for attaching a DSLR camera (adapters available for Canon, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Pentax, and Olympus cameras).
Easy to Use
The Dobsonian mount is known for its simplicity and affordability, making it perfect for visual observations. It offers manual control with movement in both horizontal (azimuthal) and vertical (altitude) axes, ideal for low and medium magnifications.
The telescope includes an optical tube measuring 112x23 cm and weighing 8 kg, along with a 12 kg azimuthal mount. It arrives ready for assembly in two cardboard boxes and is collimated for immediate viewing.
Versatile Applications Besides its astronomical capabilities, this telescope is also suitable for observing and photographing aircraft at cruising altitudes.
Accessories included:
- 2" Crayford focuser - 9x50 achromatic spring load finderscope - 10mm and 25mm Barium eyepipeces
Technical parameters:
• Optical system: Newton's headlamp • Diameter of the mirror: 203 mm • Focal length of the lens: 1200 mm • Lighted: 1/6 • Accuracy of the mirror's performance: 1 / 8? • Mirror glass type: Pyrex • Maximum useful magnification: 400x • Weight: 17 kg
